1 Million Tweets

Twitter is quickly becoming one of the world's most popular social networking sites. Twitter allows its users to send brief 140 character messages which can be sent or followed to anyone. Businesses, politicians, news networks, and celebrities have all latched onto twitter as an effective and emerging platform to communicate with fans.

A new website is using twitter to raise funds for non-profit groups. 1 Million Tweets invites people to donate $1 and to post any message that they want on their account. Their goal is to raise money for deserving charities and to compile all their entries into a book.

I am thinking about being a part of 1 Million Tweets and I am wondering what I should post. Should I tell people to follow my twitter account? my blog? Or should I write something goofy, something religious, something political, or something blue???

Vladimir Putin With President Reagan

Question: How do you spell Vladimir Putin? Answer: With the letters K-G-B. In this photo, then KGB Agent Vladimir Putin is seen posing as a tourist with a camera to the left of US President Ronald Reagan during his visit to Moscow in 1988. The photo was taken by Pete Souza who is currently Barack Obama's official photographer. It has been authenticated by multiple sources and its all a little spooky if you ask me.

New NBA Playoff Ad

The NBA playoffs are a few weeks away and the Lakers are about to embark on a pivotal 7 game road trip. They are battling against the Cleveland Cavaliers for the best overall best record in the NBA. Last year, the Boston Celtics finished the regular season with the best record and eventually beat the Lakers in the Finals.

BUT THIS YEAR WILL BE DIFFERENT! GO LAKERS!!!

Jaguar's Shock of Lightning

Jaguar has really upped their game in recent years. From being ranked at the bottom of dependability, Jaguar has risen to the top the of the pack. Maybe one reason for this improvement could be their brilliant use of Oasis in their new ads.

"Kingdom of Rust"

If you know me, then you've probably heard me mention a few times that I am a huge fan of a british band called "Doves." They've been relatively dormant for the last four years and I'm thrilled they are releasing a new CD in a few weeks. Adding to my joy, was the announcement of their N. American tour where they will play at the Anaheim House of Blues and at the Wiltern in Hollywood! I hope to catch both shows but I really want to see them at the Wiltern. If anyone wants to tag along let me know!!!

Here's their latest single "Kingdom of Rust." Its a beautiful music video. If you like the British countryside you'll love it.

Obama Invades The OC!!!

Our President is headed to the OC in a few days. On Wednesday, he is going to hold a town hall meeting less than four miles from my home.

Lets just hope that this guy doesn't show up...

Sidenote: During the campaign, Barack Obama ducked repeated challenges from John McCain to hold town hall meetings to discuss the issues surrounding the 2008 election...Funny how time changes things...

The Curse of the Colonel

Back in 1985, the Hanshin Tigers were Central League Champions. It would be the last time. Tiger fans have endured years of disappointment but now they have renewed hope.

This week, divers recovered the remains of a statue of KFC founder Colonel Sanders from a river in Osaka, Japan. The statue was cast into the river during a celebration of the Tiger's 1985 championship because it resembled the likeness of one of their American players. Many believe the team has been cursed since the Colonel went for a swim because the Tigers have failed to claim the championship for nearly 25 years. Last season, the Tigers lost in the championship round and it was determined that the Colonel must be exhumed!

Is the curse broken??? Only time will tell.

Rush to Judgement

I've never been a big fan of Rush Limbaugh. I realize he is a force within the conservative movement and a voice for millions of Americans who despise big government, high taxes, socialism, and liberalism.

Last week, he created a firestorm when he said that he "wants Barack Obama to fail." Do you want him to fail?

People across the nation were upset when they heard these words. "How could he say such divisive words?" many would say. My response would be, where were you when the liberals called Bush an "idiot", "disgrace," "thief," and who openly stated that they wanted Bush and the war to fail??

Restless

That would be how I would describe myself right now. I feel like I'm being bombarded with decisions that will affect my life path. I am 25 and I am restless.
